Gilgit-Baltistan government should avoid presenting people who are demanding for shares in CPEC as enemies. Agha Ali Rizvi

17 February 2017

Wahdat News (Skardu) Provincial Secretary General Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan Allama Agha Ali Rizvi issued a statement in which he said that instead of misleading public through misinterpretations of facts and photo sessions, provincial government should tell us what is the share of Gilgit-Baltistan in 46 Billion project. Gilgit-Baltistan government should avoid presenting people who are demanding for shares in CPEC as enemies. People of GB are supporter of CPEC and they want to get the fruits of this project. While provincial government is trying to increase its worth in front of federal government by giving these fruits to Punjab. Provincial government should not betray Gilgit-Baltistan.

Agha Ali Rizvi said that provincial government should make it clear that how many projects of electricity, health, roads and economic zones are parts of CPEC? How many projects of education and health are in CPEC? If one-tenth projects started for Punjab under CPEC has been given to Gilgit-Baltistan then destiny of this region could be changed. However our government is advocating more for Punjab than GB.

He said that we are not against the prosperity of Punjab but we are just demanding for justice. We make demand to federal government that it should stop joking with GB and it should give proportionate share to Gilgit-Baltistan in CPEC.
